Kundengewinnung ist das A und O erfolgreichen Marketings. Das gilt online wie offline. Das buchstäbliche Hineinstolpern in Soziale Netzwerke ist allerdings in vielen Fällen nur von mäßigem Erfolg gekrönt. Wo Planung und Zielsetzung versagen, trifft man oftmals auf reine Improvisation. Die Budgets für klassische Werbe- und PR-Maßnahmen werden immer knapper und im Vergleich zu einer TV- oder Printkampagne kann mit gezieltem Social Media Marketing doch eine ganze Menge mehr bewegt werden.

Von vielen Unternehmen werden auch die eigenen Kunden wiederentdeckt und ein Social Web Auftritt muss her. Gerade Agenturen stehen dabei oftmals vor dem Problem, dass bei den Auftraggebern erst ein Bewusstsein geschaffen werden muss. Eine einfache Frage: “Wen möchten Sie erreichen?” mit “Alle”, oder “So viele, wie nur möglich” zu beantworten ist gefährlich und zeigt auf einen Blick, dass noch viel Vorarbeit zu leisten ist.

Leichter tun wird sich, wer seine Zielgruppen kennt und versteht. Eine Recherche im Vorfeld minimiert dabei spätere Stolperfallen. Im Idealfall sind ohnehin bereits Zielgruppenanalysen vorhanden, auf denen Strategien aufgebaut werden können.

Mit Aktionismus wachsen

Aktionismus in Form von Gewinnspielen, Specials und Co. kann helfen, um sich online kurzzeitig zu positionieren und Aufmerksamkeit zu erzeugen. In Sozialen Medien geht es allerdings um mehr, als um kurzzeitige Beschäftigung. Dialogorientiertheit steht im Vordergrund. Informationen müssen spannend aufbereitet und verbreitet werden. Hinter den Usern stehen Menschen, die direkt und authentisch angesprochen werden möchten.

Wichtig ist es auch, Neugierde zu wecken. Während vor einiger Zeit Facebook, Twitter Foursquare und Co. als Spielwiese für Unternehmen betrachtet wurden, setzt langsam aber sicher eine allgemeine Professionalisierung ein. Präsent zu sein allein genügt schon lange nicht mehr und wird mittelfristig nicht zum Erfolg führen. Wie in der klassischen Kommunikation, gehört zuerst einmal die Beschäftigung mit den eigenen Kunden, die Erstellung eines Gesamtkonzeptes und das Bereitstellen des dazugehörigen Projektplans zu den Hausaufgaben.

Geschichten anstelle von Märchen

Die eigene Präsenz in Superlativen zu bewerben funktioniert online schlecht bis gar nicht mehr. Die Zeiten der Selbstbeweihräucherung sind vorbei und User wollen echten Mehrwert geboten bekommen. Sobald es nach reiner „Schleichwerbung“ riecht, wird es gefährlich. Reine Werbephrasen und langweilige Texte – davon lässt sich heute niemand mehr beeindrucken. Über den eigenen Tellerrand zu blicken, sollte dabei selbstverständlich sein. Es geht darum, die User zu unterhalten, Kreativität zu beweisen und spannende Insights zu bieten. Informationen eben, die nicht auf der Website abrufbar sind oder in der letzten Presseaussendung bereits erwähnt wurden.
